- Each barrel lid varies in exact size (approximately 20-21") and markings. We do our best to remove the majority of the markings from the distillery, but some stamps may remain on the barrel head. We will ensure no stamp impedes your personalized design. Since these are used barrel heads from the distillery, some cracks and gaps are to be expected in the head. No barrel head that is severely damaged or has significant gaps will be used.
- Each barrel head is unique and there are natural imperfections. The seams in the barrel head will vary, and there will be natural separations. The wood is constantly expanding and contracting due to it's environment, you will experience some minor shifting and spacing over time. There are variations in the wood and no two barrel heads will look alike.
- The back of the barrel head is unfinished and the seams are not filled in. The wood backing is applied to the back of the barrel head. The barrel head cannot come loose and is stable for hanging.
- To serve as a wedding guestbook your barrel head will come UNSEALED to allow for signatures on the wood. It is the customer's responsibility to seal the barrel head after the wedding ceremony to provide a protective coating to the barrel head.
